LoL Current Ban List Recommendations – Summer 2014 July, August – League of Legends Recommended Champion / Hero / Summoner Ban Picks!

Every few weeks we see a new set of “overpowered” champions on League of Legends. A large amount of regular players watch the pro LCS games as well as the personal live streams of the top players, and from that a general consensus is reached in the community on who is overpowered and most in need of a ban. Here is the list for July and August of 2014.

If you end up being the one on your team in charge of bans during a ranked or draft mode game, its important to make bans that your team will agree with. You can also ask your team for suggestions, however this list will ensure your game gets started off on the right foot.

Always ban these summoners:

  • Jax – (unstoppable top lane with any decent farm)
  • Kassadin – (very difficult to deal with mid lane)

Often ban these champions:

  • Twisted Fate – (incredible global map control and amazing top and bottom lane ganks from level 6 on)
  • Eve – (difficult to deal with jungler–in the hands of a skilled player she will pop out of nowhere for ganks)
  • Braum – (strong support, good in lane and in teamfights)
  • Morgana – (very strong support in lane and teamfights)
  • Talon
  • Fizz

Sometimes ban these champions

Especially if you or a teammate has a certain strategy or hero they want to avoid being matched against:

  • Kayle – (strong mid or top lane – tough to deal with and her ult is amazing in teamfights)
  • Maokai
  • Thresh
  • Elise
  • Lucian
  • Jinx
  • Renekton
  • Lulu
  • Shyvana
  • Mundo
