The latest generation of graphics cards, the Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 and 2080 have just recently been released. The product launch was a bit controversial with hardcore gamers and hardware reviewers — performance increase over the last generation isn’t as big as was hoped. To summarize, the RTX 2070 gives roughly equal performance to the previous generation GTX 1080. The exception to this is that the new RTX cards do perform notably better at 4k resolutions. We would recommend the RTX cards mostly for those with 4k gaming monitors.
